For the Southside Trail Segments 2, 3, 4, and 5, ABI will begin the process of coordinating any necessary utility relocations in preparation for future trail construction. All utilities that are in the path of construction work must be relocated prior to the start of construction activities. Companies that may be required to relocate their utilities might include Verizon, GDOT, GA Power, Atlanta Gas, AT&T, and Zayo.
Segment 2: Terminus of SST-W at Pittsburgh Yards to Milton Ave SE
Segment 3: Milton Ave. SE to Boulevard SE
Segment 4: Boulevart to Delmar
Segment 5: Delmar to Glenwood
Project Status
- Currently coordinating with the following utilities: Sprint, AT&T, Century Link, Verizon, AGL, Georgia Power, Comcast, Zayo, GDOT,and Ex2.
- Coordinating with City departments AIM, ATLDOT, and DWM.
Utilities must be relocated along Segments 2-5, one of the major steps in preparation for construction.
Once underway, work is expected to take 6-8 months.
