Virginia Highland is a beautiful and vibrant neighborhood that sits alongside the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail. This historic district offers great restaurants, and diverse and quirky shops, making Virginia Highland a notable shopping and dining destination and one of Atlanta’s most walkable neighborhoods.
Trails
Eastside Trail
A combination of multi-use trail and linear greenspace, the Eastside Trail connects Midtown to Reynoldstown and you to some of Eastside’s hottest destinations.
Northeast Trail
1.2 miles of Northeast Trail - Segment 2 are under construction and slated to open in fall 2023. A 0.8-mile stretch on the eastern edge of Piedmont Park is open as an unpaved trail. In its current state, this segment has a rough and bumpy surface of compacted railroad gravel and dirt.

Getting There
The neighborhood extends from Piedmont Park to Briarcliff Road on the east and Ponce de Leon Avenue on its southern edge. Amsterdam Avenue marks the border with the Morningside-Lenox Park neighborhood to the north.
