Grant Park
Grant Park was named for Lemuel P. Grant, a civil engineer for the Georgia Railroad who has been called the “Father of Atlanta.” Home to Zoo Atlanta, Oakland Cemetery and a host of shops and restaurants, Grant Park is home to residents with all levels of education, age and racial backgrounds. It is the largest historic district in the City of Atlanta.
Parks
Boulevard Crossing Park
Five acres of greenspace form the first phase of Boulevard Crossing Park in the Chosewood Park neighborhood, just south of Grant Park and Zoo Atlanta.
Trails
Southside Trail
Currently, the majority of the Southside Trail is an open unpaved Trail and provides connectivity between the paved Eastside and Westside Trails on the southernmost part of the Atlanta BeltLine loop. A 0.8 mile paved section is now open to the public and extends from the terminus of the Westside Trail at University Avenue and continues to just west of the I-75/85 overpass.
