McAfee3 Architects, Inc. is a female-owned, African American firm with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and offices in Dallas, Texas, and Wichita, Kansas. It has provided architectural and management services for almost sixty years. Founded in 1963 by architect Charles F. McAfee, his daughters, Cheryl L. McAfee and Charyl McAfee-Duncan have owned and operated the small family firm since 2006. Its impressive portfolio of projects have helped shape Atlanta: Hartsfield-Atlanta International Airport, project management of the 1996 Olympics, and the master planning of MARTA to name a few.
McAfee3 Architects has also worked on several Atlanta BeltLine projects since 2005. The firm managed a study on how to connect the Atlanta Streetcar and the Atlanta BeltLine with MARTA Subarea Masterplan. Their team also led the Subarea 1 Masterplan Updates. Currently, they’re working on the Atlanta BeltLine Façade Improvement pARTnership Grant Program, helping business participants and artists navigate the permitting process for capital improvements.
